Three fellowship programs — at UCSF, the University of Washington, and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL — are training neurohospitalists and many other institutions are beginning new training programs. Our faculty have led and sustained multiple successful quality improvement innovations including care pathway development, improving timely appointments and communication post discharge, reducing unnecessary labs and procedures, and improving the experience for hospitalized patients. We are excited to be able to offer advanced clinical training in acute care neurology, mentored experiences in medical education leadership, and additional training in health care quality and systems innovation.
